I was looking down from the high rise headland of Beachy Head in England when the thick sea mist began to break and sun light started to glow from the west.

I went to take pictures in and around the coastal fishing town of Grindavik on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland while I visited there. The weather was incredible; in the course of two hours I saw everything from bright and sunny to stormy and rainy – and at one point there was a rainbow as well that formed out of the remains of a rain cloud.

I found this scene of lush nature near Slane Castle in Ireland with sunlight coming through hitting the top and the bottom but somehow missing the middle.

I took this image in Richmond just outside London in England. I was very lucky to be at the right place at the right time as the three deer lined up so neatly for a few minutes as if they were posing for a photograph.

I took this in Suffolk; England, I had been waiting for sunset at this place as I really liked the pattern created by these long trees and thought to combine them with the setting sun and the complimenting colours.

I was very lucky to see and photograph a truly unforgettable light show over the ocean on the West coast of Ireland. At the moment of taking this image, the light was beginning to scatter over the Atlantic surface, soon after bursting through the clouds from above.

I came up with the idea for this image during the day while taking pictures of the road leading to Grindavik, a fishing town on the Reykjanes peninsula on the south-western coast of Iceland. In the evenings, the light from the town behind the hill hit the clouds that were generally close to the ground to produce a futuristic backdrop and I used long shutter speed to have the moving cars draw a curved line into the silhouette in the foreground.

Using long exposure and very light sensitive settings, I wanted to capture the Milky Way and the planet Venus in a night time landscape in Suffolk; England. I included a lone house in the frame to give a sense of scale of a man made building against the massive sky.

Bluebells are quite rare, you can only catch them for about two weeks every year. I wanted to capture the vibrant colours of blue with sunrays coming through the trees in the background. Taken in Suffolk; England.

On a cold morning walk on the Reykjanes peninsula, I found one of the many rock piles scattered all over Iceland commonly referred to as ‘Cairn’. Due to strong wind, rain was pouring straight onto the camera lens and while trying to compose the image I kept my hand closely over the lens hood. As a result, lens condensation occurred on the glass surface and when I pulled my hand away rain immediately started hitting the foggy glass. This foggy and wet scene was therefore captured through a foggy and wet camera lens, which helped to visualise the atmosphere of the place.

The famous Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland with a dramatic sky in the background. It’s a surreal place with thousands of hexagonal basalt stones where lava from a volcanic erruption once met the cold sea. This area was declared World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1986.

I captured this image when O’Brien’s Tower – the highest point of the famous Cliffs of Moher in Ireland – was in the process of becoming invisible due to a rapidly descending mist cloud moving in from the Atlantic.

I found this massive fallen tree in Epping Forest in England. I captured it with the bright blue sky and the warm colours of the setting sun hitting the treetops above.

I took this image of a lone tree in Suffolk in England, complimented by the setting sun and a dramatic sky. Taken in February, some snow is still visible in the foreground.

I waited for just about two years for the right circumstances to capture this tree in Brockwell Park in London. I hope that this cold and misty Autumn afternoon did justice to  its greatness. 

I took this photo of a very dramatic sky with light coming through the clouds over a rape field near the town of Halesworth in Suffolk; England.

This is the amazing natural formation of Lulworth Cove in Dorset; England. Hard to believe that something so perfect can be created by nature without the intervention of man. One of the finest icons of the British coastline.

As the Moon rose on a late autumn afternoon in Petts Wood in England, I waited for the colourful clouds to enter the frame from the left. I wanted to compose the image so that land reaches into the frame from the right and the clouds from the left, creating visual balance.

I found this place somewhere in Walberswick Nature Reserve in Suffolk; England, when I decided to wonder off the walking trail. The last light of the day came from behind the forest as I captured this little isolated natural wonder.

Wide view of the seaside village of Blackrock on the east coast of Ireland in County Louth. The image was captured at dawn with low tide and scattered clouds that formed a beautiful ceiling over the village with the shallow water surface reflecting back the blue and orange colour tones.

The beautiful spring-flowering bluebells have great visual appeal to most photographers. I also fall victim to the blue duvet if I get the chance to photograph them during the two weeks of spring when they can be found in various places of woodland. This image was captured as warm sunlight found its way through the side foliage of this small forest in Suffolk, England.

I found this lone rock while hiking on the Reykjanes peninsula in Iceland. I used the rugged mountain wall as a backdrop to emphasise how small the rock (which was actually taller than I am) was in its surrounding.

Durdle Door, the iconic arch formation on the British coastline in Dorset. I spent two days and many hours around here, and this particular picture was taken in the evening as the sun was setting on the right.

I took this image in New Forest in England, using a tripod and 8 seconds long exposure in order to capture the movement on the surface of the river. New Forest is a National Park located on the South of England.

The image was taken near Blackrock village in Ireland, I set off about three o’clock in the morning to get to this place by sunrise, and I was rewarded with a spectacular one!

I captured this scene in Petts Wood in England. I found the asymmetric shape of the Oak tree fascinating. The evening light was fantastic, the tree branch and parts of the sky were illuminated by the warm colours of the sun that was just above the horizon behind me.

Herne Bay Pier was built in Herne Bay, Kent on the South East of England for steamers and was notable for its length of 3,787 feet (1,154 m) until its destruction in a violent storm in 1978. The landing stage still stands today, isolated at sea, relentlessly waiting for the ships that will never arrive. I captured this scene on a day of strong winds with light from the nearly setting sun coming from the west.

Spectacular view from East London captured from the South side of the River Thames. From this spot, the Thames Barrier, the Millennium Dome (O2 Arena) and the towers of Canary Wharf are all visible at once and can be framed into one composition.
